Do Not Condemn Yourself. This Is Why Jesus Will Not.

Do not condemn yourself, this is why….

In John 8:1- 11, When Jesus went up to the mountain of olives, in the cool evening he showed up again in the temple, where all the followers gathered to listen to his teaching.

The Pharisee teachers and lawmakers brought in a woman they caught in adultery and she stood before everyone including Jesus and their goal was to condemn her.

While she was standing, they began to narrate to Jesus how they caught the woman committing adultery and made reference to the law of Moses which states that any woman caught in the act should be stoned to death.

Verse 6 made us understand that this question was deliberately thrown to Jesus as a basis for accusing him, but Jesus in his sovereignty bent down and began to write on the sand with his finger.

As the lawmakers continued to question Him, Jesus looked up and replied them saying, “Let anyone of you who has not sinned be the first to cast a stone at her.”

He continued writing on the ground. Then those who heard Him began to move away one at a time until only Jesus was left with the woman still standing there.

Jesus rose up and questioned her saying, “Woman, where are those whose desire was to condemn you?”

She replied, “No one Sir,” Then Jesus said to her, “I do not condemn you, go now and quit the lie of sin,”

Lesson

Jesus did not condemn the woman who committed adultery, and Jesus will not condemn you. It doesn’t matter the kind of sin you have lived in your past, Jesus Christ is willing to forgive you and give you a new start just like the story we read above.

Jesus will not condemn you because:

  1. He loves you. John 3:16
  2. He purchased you with his blood and payed for all your sins
  3. He believes in you.
  4. He is giving you another chance
  5. He will not give up on you.

Just like Jesus told the adulterous woman, “GO and sin no more,” He is telling you today.

He stands at the door of your heart knocking, If you let Him in, he will come and dwell with you and your whole life will be turned around.

God Bless you.
